Well, lets see. The wordpress was down for a few days after I tried to update a few things. From now on the updates are mach nichs unless it’s a critical update. I was able to recover the ‘stuff’ I needed but y’all wouldn’t have seen any difference. It was the control interface having issues playing nice with the Goolag and it’s shytte.
So this pas week has been interesting. Yesterday Artemis II went up into the sky and didn’t blow the fuck up. I mean I personally didn’t expect any issues with it going UP… it’s the coming DOWN that it’s track record totally sucks. The last time those two astronauts got trapped for how long? on the ISS until the DotGov finally broke down and asked for Elons help. I just looked it up and it seems they got stuck there for more than nine months, returning on March 18, 2025. Originally scheduled for an eight-day mission departing on June 5, 2024, they remained on the ISS due to a reentry heat shield problem.
So since I missed the launch, as I’m still making up for lost work at Ye Olde Tractor Factory, I’ll for sure want to see the reentry in that it just may become a new shooting start so to speak. The only other time they (a space program, in this case the Soviets) had a MAJOR reentry problem was with the death of Vladimir Komarov on Soyuz 1 on April 24, 1967. During reentry, the Soyuz 1 parachute system failed, causing the capsule to crash at high speed and burn, killing Komarov, the first human fatality during a space mission.
Accounts vary, but part of the story is the parachute failed BECAUSE the heat shield failed. Per the Soviet style of giving contrary stories, the real deal will probably never be known.

as they do help out a bit. the pills I had left, well. cut them up into 1/2 and 1/4 and spacing them out.
so far, so good. like 12 or more hours between 1/4’s although walking around the home defect today really kicked my ass. the other thing is , opioids are dirt cheap. but the new wonder drug which is better for you really costs 10 times or more each dose. and as you pointed out 22 vets a day is low.

funny thing, back when I worked at the VA. they ran a 7 days a week methadone clinic. and get a load of this shit, they got 30% disability for being on that shit ?

to start, go see your care provider at your VA clinic and get your gripe on record there. they will probably send you to a specialty clinic somewhere and they’ll examine you. this is what you will need to be successful:
1. actual evidence of service injury/disability i.e. xray/mri images, medical records, lab results…
2. obtain a “nexus” letter connecting a past service injury with present conditions from a Dr.- any fucking Dr.
3. write a statement about your claim to include dates, places, and witnesses while on active duty and how it affects your daily life.
use the proper forms to file your claims. count on being denied and then correct any deficiencies before re-submitting.

There were 1-2 other major reentry disasters, depending on whether you count the X-15 test flight crash in November 1967 as a reentry disaster or not. The other one was the space shuttle Columbia in February 2003 breaking apart during reentry.

Caught my eye as I at 73 have some disc degeneration coupled with a degree of scoliosis that troubles me, and I don’t like the limitations imposed by pain. It can be used at numerous spots on the body, so it’s not a one trick pony.
Perhaps you, as a veteran, could get some discount for the device and its accessories, which are not cheap. No such luck for me as a lifelong civilian. But I am saving this information for future reference, not only for back pain, but also for its possible uses for arthritis in my hands, which sucks.

My wife has a seriously fucked up back. Forgot what they call it but had the xrays and mri scans prove it. The fucking docs wouldn’t give her shit. Nada, nothing. In constant pain. Anyhow I found out about some shit called Kratom. It’s the leaves from some big ass tree. It works for pain. Fairly cheap and legal. Will give a codeine like buzz too. She only takes small amounts so not really addicted. She doesn’t get ‘really sick’ if she doesn’t take it although she pretty much takes it daily. Key is smaller amounts. There is a pill made from it called 7OH – stay the fuck away from that. Super addictive and will fuck you up. The 7OH is heavy duty but people get strung out on it super quick and they say it’s much harder to kick than the big H.

After that he approved my meds as he said there was no viable alternative, but if I had just let him do the surgery I would be disabled now.
