Bank Fraud, Burrito Goblins, N2s and More Enfield Work

Greetings and Salutations!
Well this was an annoying day.
Two days ago, I got my new ATM/Debit card. This was like #2? 3? in oh so many weeks. The whole thing is just so exhausting when you get compromised like that. The only good thing that comes of it is I’m less apt to spend monies I don’t have, as not having a card is a pretty good ‘preventative’ so to speak.

So now new card showed up two days ago.

I did a beer run and come home and find the email “… your balance has dropped below $100….”

To which my reaction was like “I know I got at least $400 in there.” and ” I know the beer wasn’t that much!” So of course I open up the app and…………
Ugh.
Looted.
Again.
Not that it was a lot, but dammit, I just went through this a couple of times… I mean dammit… go steal from a motherfucker who, you know actually has money!?!

So I go and dial up and get back on the fon with the Fraud Department at Ye Olde Bank again, shut down the brand new card… again and get new card sent out again.

Wash, rinse, & repeat.

It’s getting to the point I need to have them on speed-dial I swear. I can’t even get angry really. First World Problems right? Funny story that ties in:

2005. Home on one of my first R&Rs.
I was out w/the family doing 4-H ‘stuff’ when the wife-of-the-time asked me to jump down to a corner store and get a bunch of cold drinks for everyone. I remember it was a bitch of a hot day, and we hadn’t planned on being out in the heat for as long a we’d been so far that day.

So off to the corner gas-n-go for Cold Drink(s)
I buy a bunch of Gatorade and water and whatever, and pay w/my ATM card. Then, back to the 4-H fun.

Later that night on the way home, I tried to get us some Mickey D’s for dinner… and my card got declined. I had no idea what was going on, so wife-of-the-time tried hers, and she had the same issue (we were on what we called the ‘family account’). At the time, I hadn’t downloaded the bank app as well… in 2005, apps were a ‘new thing’ on the phone, so yeah, I downloaded it, set it up and logged in.

Turns out I was over-drafted by like $4000 and change.

Sheesh.

I got it squared away within a few hours, but it was hilarious as when I called in, it hit me that I had just gotten back to the states after like 9-10 months overseas and now I got hit with all sorts of financial Identity Theft?

I had been using that ATM card in some of the Shadiest Souks this side of the Persian Gulf and not once did I ever get scammed by the Hajjis. Not even once which struck me as absolutely hilarious at the time… You would have thought that I would have been getting screwed over HUUUGELY by Haji and his boys… but nope.

Only in the FUSA amiright?

So that was my minor annoyance for today.

The next level annoyance?
Well, out of all the news out there the story about that piece of shit, that MS-13 Burrito Goblin Kilmar Abrego Garcia had an interesting encounter a ways back in Tennessee of all places.

It fills in some ‘blanks’ that we haven’t been hearing too much about. The news already came out that he was a serious wife-beater, as well as an illegal alien who as far as I’m concerned means he has no rights in this country under any circumstance.

I’m pretty sure that Maryland Asshole Fucktard Senator Traitor Chris Van Hollen (Van Hole-in-the-Head would be more appro IMO) didn’t know about this part… but then again maybe he did. It would explain a lot of why he (Van Hole-in-the-Head) seems oh so concerned! over this fucking scumbag being thrown back to his home country…

Seems that back on December 6, 2022, Garcia was pulled over with a van full of Burrito Goblins, for a total (including himself) of 8 fuckers in the vehicle. No reason given, but knowing the Tennessee Highway Patrol, they probably saw a car full of goblins, and decided to check it out. Now for the TL;DR crowd, essentially the point is that the THP trooper called this shit into the Feds…

Specifically the F.B.I.

As I’ve said before, there’d be zero terrorist activity in the United States without the direct assistance if not the direct control or behest of the F.B.I. It also makes you wonder what they (the fibbies) ‘got’ on Van Hole-in-the-Head to have him utterly nuke his political credibility for this asshole…

Any bets that Garcia has dirt/is important to running some F.B.I. operation that’s probably designed to hurt OrangeManBad and/or disrupt the basic running of this country? The Magic 8-Ball says “YES!” in a big way. I mean if he IS the headman of the MS-13 gang here stateside, well… that’s a pretty powerful dude in his own right. That kind of power and money has enough ‘yank’ to get a Untied Staatz Senator to jump on a plane and fly to Central America apparently…

Back to the guns…
Always a more pleasant subject.
I worked on the 2A1 this past evening, and tonight as well. I did some work on the nose piece for it and well… I’m not happy with how it turned out honestly.

Now, the Ishapore 2A1 has a different nose piece than the MK3 which the rifle is based off of. The ‘normal’ Short Magazine, Lee Enfield (MK3) has a flat faced nose piece and ’rounded ears’ so to speak:

Now, I stripped it down completely to bare metal. It took a while and a LOT of work to be honest. I wasn’t sure why at the time, but I think I figured it out by the time I got done. With it stripped bare:

LOTS of soaking and sanding.
I then went and did a couple coats of the bluing:

Mind you, I wasn’t digging the outcome.
Now I don’t have the ability to do ‘how bluing’ in the traditional way. I have to do a shitty cold-bluing, that I have a few tricks which help a wee bit in making it look good. One of which is to lightly heat the part with my blowtorch as I’m working.

Also MULTIPLE coats help.
NORMALLY I should say.
In this case?

Not a fan man.
That’s after six ‘dips’ so to speak. It literally became BLUE! and not in a good way. I checked the various boards, and yep.

Metallurgy.

It’s the metal itself. Seems that the Indian/Hindu made Ishapores have some deficiencies in the manufacturing process. The metal is NOT up to snuff so to speak, or at least NOT up to traditional Lee Enfield pieces-parts. Now mind you, from some of the articles I read, the metallurgical deficiencies are MOSTLY on ‘non-critical’ parts… meaning I’m not potentially having a failure that could kill me.

The most common problem is that getting a nice finish on the rifle, using traditional bluing methods? Yeeeeeah… Notsomucho Man.

So because of THAT particular wrinkle, I’m going to see about using a Parkerizing Colored Coating on it. I’ll update y’all with pictures as I go.
