The CAT scan showed a minor tear in the feeder vein which is why is went to ‘grapefruit sized’ within like 5 minutes… that’s the only reason I went to the E.R. because as I said, the previous circulatory issues had me worried… clots and whatnot and blood pooling… no need to stroke out this early… not when things have gotten peaceable around the Casa as of late…
The X-Ray showed a (thankfully) vertical fracture… a ‘greenstick’ fracture when the impact happened… thankfully I’ve had a ton of those over the years so I know how to deal with it. They gave me an inflatable ‘cast’ and some really tight fitting “ace’ style wraps, and as everyone knows the drill, wrap it, ice it, and elevate it.
It’s allllll sorts of Black Blue and Red under there with shades of angry Purple as well. I really hit the sumbitch full one. What’s even worse is I consciously not 60 seconds before warned myself to “mind the hitch!” and subsequently didn’t.
Go figure right?
So otherwise. I’m good, the truck is undamaged, the neighbors fully offended. That being from the full on stream of obscenity and invective that came pouring forth from Ye Olde Sewer-Hole when I hit the damned thing. I let loose with a torrent that even after the fact impressed myself at the creativity and amount that came out… I wish someone had recorded it… it was one for the Ages.

What I find interesting, is the district of criminals, much like memphis, shitcago, Dallas, Atlanta and points farther west all have been able to keep their violence isolated from the places they live and work that are protected if you will by their own private army’s. Wrong place in any of the above cities and many others and you truly end up outmanned and outgunned really fast. However going to or living in those places are simply beneath them, they think.
Now it’s happening to them for a lot of reasons we talk about every day. What’s interesting me most is the pure hilarity that ensues when its one or two of theirs that gets bagged. Their whining and boohooing about daily life for a lot of everyday people, is falling on deaf ears and its eating them up.

I’m not really focused these days on the constant hook nose evil, or the fact that Europe is swirling the toilet bowl. Or our own Satanic elites for that matter. I really think we are going to see it all pop like a festering pimple, probably sooner rather than later. Hence my interest in being able to make black powder and acquiring revolvers in calibers that were originally black powder. And having equipment to make ammo. I need to lay in a Large supply of appropriate primers for .45LC and .38 special. .357 cases will make a black powder +P version of .38. I have lots of .38/.357 once fired brass. Need more .45LC brass. A modern stainless revolver will hold up a lot better than the original guns did. Will still have to be cleaned with hot soapy water and dried thoroughly then oiled. So I’m concentrating on those things and keeping my ears open for the US kickoff of TEOTWAWKI. .22s and said .357/45s will be game getters, smokeless ammo for semis will be reserved for defense. All you can do is all you can do. But our strength is that of ten, our cause is just and righteous.

P.S. My thanks and gratitude to Gun Dood. The bullet trap I’m making will let me recover my lead for recycling. Also have a stainless 1892 lever rifle, so one long arm I can load for.
I did the same. Concentrated on .38 pistol, 12 gauge and .30 rifle for reloading. Once I run out of components I can still do Black powder in all three. (Why the fuck did microbarf capitalize the word black?)
Have enough freedom pills for the times of fuckery. Those are for the follow-up.
BTW you can reload .22. They used to do that during the depression. Look online for the kits. You can load .22 with black powder. Like .38, 12G and .30 originally that is what they were loaded with.
Won’t work with a semiauto but I have a single shot Remington rifle and an old Iver Johnson top break that eat them like candy. They sell compound for the rimfire but I have used strike anywhere matchheads to make it and it works.
BTW, I know, .22 is cheap and yes I have thousands of it. This was to see if the reloader, 1-worked and 2-would be an end of the world option for when the magic machine pills ran out. I already owned the rifle and pistol.
Excellent idea about the .22s Semper. I’ve heard that before that you can reuse the cases at least a few times before too much rim gets crushed. I like the match head idea too. They will be around longer. Unfortunately, I don’t have a .22 revolver atm, that’s perfect for preserving cases, no ejection. Got a HS Citation and two Ruger semis. They won’t like black powder. Need to get a good revolver, 9 shot preferrably. Got a single shot rifle and my old Remington pump 572 that will work though. Got a pump 12 ga., wish I still had my reloaders. Too much stuff to get, I need a rich relative I don’t know about to leave me a few tens of thousands so I can finish equipping, lol.

Leg stuff bad; am playing on that field at present.
Lefty the Lousy Leg has had both genetic issues (Mom, her dad, and all their kin had all sorts of 60s/70s medical voodoo applied to their pins) and self-inflicted stuff (no trailer hitch but a smashing shin from a combo of laundromat pothole, shopping cart with a pile of dirties, left leg, and velocity). Played with coumadin by pill and subcutaneous injection; message: DON’T!
Recovery was partial but manageable until a couple of months ago, when I noticed that Lefty was getting more than his usual asymmetric performance. Being of course far more medically intelligent than reality has ever allowed, Dr. CA decided that the only possible approach was to apply a standard medium-compression elastic sock. Though I can’t prove it, my hypothesis is that both the lower 90 decree foot/ankle/calf intersection and the top of the sock/back of knee area got their party on, biggish times.
Medical Genius Dr. CA then decided that, rather going to his 20-year GP who knows that I can be more stupid than the average bear, a beet capsule/food supplement should be used. Outcome? Limited if any.
Punch line is that when I went to GP, he sent me to Sonogram Lad, who, when Dopplering Lefty’s thigh, got the bad face on and called GP. “Yes, it is acute” was delivered to GP, who immediately called the head of vascular surgery, Doc Traudl. In a duet, GP and Doc Traudl made it clear that Dr. CA needed to stop effing around and treat things seriously. Doc Traudl used her lovely German accent to emphasize that if the clot factory really got going by releasing the big chunk in my femoral vein, “Your lungs will not be very happy.” And thus the story continues…
Lessons learned:
