Seriously, she is only a year younger than me (me = 56), but DAAAYUM if she doesn’t look good for her age. For the celebration I had gotten us tickets to Aquatica Orlando:
It’s one of the best water parks in the country supposedly. I will say we DID have a ball! They ARE unique in that they have a set of very rare Dolphins in captivity, which I’ll go into in a few.
The tickets I got via the Waves of Honor program.
It used to be a yearly thing here in Florida back during the ‘bad old war days’ so to speak. It allowed a veteran to get 4 tickets to one of the theme parks like Busch Gardens and SeaWorld Orlando for free. They use ID.me to verify your service so the poseurs don’t take advantage. ID.me verifies through the DoD and DEERs. For a number of years they had shut the program down for whatever reason… maybe COVID? Not sure. However I get notifications via email, and this year they had turned the program back ‘on’ if you will.
OF COURSE I signed up for my 4 freebies to Busch Gardens. I still have the Busch Gardens tix, but unfortunately, they leave the window to use them pretty smol. As in we have to use them by July 6th. NORMALLY this wouldn’t be an issue, as in go next weekend, but Gretchen has eye surgery on Monday, and will be in recovery during that timeframe.
And there ain’t no way on God’s Green Erf that I’m going to try and take on the Redhead by myself at Busch Gardens. I’m offering up the tix to OtherGrans to see if they want to use them. Anyways… for whatever reason, (probably competitiveness) Aquatica offered up free tickets about two weeks later. Naturally I jumped on those as well.
So we went today.
We left at 0645 as it opened at 0900, and I wanted to make sure we got primo poolside seats as I was not shelling out $500 for a fucking ‘cabana’. We actually ended up getting GREAT seats on the far side of the pool that’s marked on the map above as “Cutback Cove” a big honking wave pool.

It got waaaaaay more crowded as the day went on.
That was a light crowd
It got like unpleasantly crowded later in the day with a LOT of blaq-water buffalo nasty fat-rolled Disgustapotamuses roaming around bellowing mating calls out at top volume or cackling. Needless to say, one of us was ‘with the gear’ on guard duty at all times.
Also FAR too many whytte McNasty Tatted Fuglysauruses also running around in WAAAAY too smol bikinis without the benefit of either a Leash or Shock Collar, all of which I think should have been mandatory. Nevermind the obligatory sampling of the wild Streetshitteraptors or the Burrito Goblins.
And tats?
FAR too many tats.
In fact at one point I saw a drop-dead gorgeous girl… probably mid-twenties, and called her out to Gretchen as being particularly attractive. When Gretchen asked why in particular, I told her “No tats… Notice she isn’t all scribbled up like a fucking piece of waste-paper? That right there makes her a 10.”
Even she had to agree on that. I still got in trouble for looking at a hawt 20-something and called a dirty old bastid.
Guilty as Charged.
But yeah, the overall vibe in the park changed around 13:00 so we bailed early after the dolphin show. I didn’t want to get potentially hemmed up as there have been ‘incidents’ in the past with the ‘Yoots’ getting “jiggy wid it” and I was unarmed.
As Divemedic poasted back about June 12th of this year (last week) a bunch of feral niggers went feral at Aquatica, so I had my head on a swivel. The story is HERE.

Only one minor untoward incident all day really… considering the crowd? This was a ‘win’. Said incident was when I was in the wave pool taking my turn making sure Red didn’t do something stupid (like trying to go as far out as she could in the deep water with the other kids her age that she was playing with who’s ‘rents were not as cautionary). I had at one point gone to the concession stand to ‘borrow’ one of the ‘regular’ steel chairs they had there, sort of like this:
That’s pretty close to what I scored, as I needed the arms and back support. The ‘regular beach chairs’ they offered didn’t work for me, between the blow’d up left knee and my fucked up back:
Not really functional nor easy for me to get in and out of.
WAY too low to the ground.
So I ‘borrowed’ a chair from the concession.
No idea if it was allowed but some of the other ‘bigger guys’ who had the same issues were admiring my chutzpah if you will… The families around us seemed to be made up of vets like myself, so that was cool. Good times trading “/when/where were you?” stories…
What wasn’t cool was, as I said, I was in the wave pool looking back occasionally to check on Gretchen. I was keeping an eye on Red, when I saw -something- that didn’t look right.
There was a guy holding my fucking chair standing between Gretchen, who looked pissed and the sister of a fellow veteran, (who was off getting drinks at the time I found out later) a really cool Puerto Rican chick who’s son was Red’s age, and she too looked pissed AF. I told Red that we needed to get out of the water, as Papi had biddness to handle it looked like.
Red is well trained at 7… “Stay close, stay low and hit the dirt if’n I tell you”… she’s great like that.
I waded out and as I closed in and got within hearing distance, I heard three things: The PR Chicka yelling at dis fukkin guy to “…put the fucking chair down!”, and then the unmistakable accent of a Call Support Streetshitter saying to the girls “I bring back in a bit… is OK! Is no problem!!!”
This from the maybe 100 pound soaking-wet Hindu guy who apparently decided to (unknowingly) abscond with the 340 pound gorilla’s chair, and tell the lower caste women to get fucked, albeit nicely. Gretchen, who saw me and as I closed the gap, told Punjab “In about 3 seconds you’re about to have a big problem!!!”
The fucking guy must have seen Gretchen’s eyes lock on my approaching, and turned around (his back was to me) to see just what this broad was looking at, and saw me closing in.
Grinning like a fucking psycho.
He, no shit, went white as a sheet. He immediately dropped the chair and bolted for safer pastures. Like literally ran away. The whole time babbling -I think- apologies. I got no idea. I don’t speak streetshitter.
I’m just glad he didn’t poop in our A.O. out of fear.
Both ladies laughed their asses off on that one.
Fun times.
I mean I probably wouldn’t have actually done anything, as that’s beneath me, but intimidating some asshole who’s stealing the fucking chair that -I- had worked so hard to ‘reallocate’?

As I was saying…
Dolphins: One of the ‘extras’ that I did pay for (besides the extortionist parking and meal plan) was a meet and greet with two of the only Commerson’s Dolphins in captivity. According to the trainer, there are these two and maybe six others in captivity period worldwide. This was a really cool experience and it was a bit pricey (like all things Orlando) but to make some great memories? Sure… why not? $50 per person for a total of $100.

This is a case where the Little Smartass Brother goes and picks a fight with the BIGGEST Bully in the neighborhood. The Little Brother has NEVER truly had his ass properly kicked because of Big Brother, despite the fact that Big Brother is sort of slow and retarded compared to Little Brother. So, in this case the Little Brother sucker punches the Bully. The Bully gets up, dusts himself off, and proceeds to utterly wreck the Little Brother, which is a first for him and scary AF. Scared to death, Little Brother screams for help. Big Brother listens to the screams for help for a few, hoping it might educate the little fucker, but after a few, goes over and starts beating on the Bully, despite knowing the Bully has a LOT of bigger frens who’re tired of BOTH the Little Brother and Big Brother throwing their weight around, and are now willing to kick BOTH their asses and curbstomp them into oblivion.

Well… back to the pleasantness of a good day. I’ll deal with the potential blowback later. And it WAS a pleasant day.
The dolphin interaction was cool AF. I got to sit in on the ‘briefing’ before the meet and greet. Gretchen and Red were the only ones on this particular Meet and Greet. It turns out that Commerson’s are a rare and threatened dolphin species from the extreme South Atlantic/Pacific. A full writeup is here on the Wiki. And for those who TL;DR, this is a Commerson’s Dolphin:
They look like mini-Orcas (as Red kept calling them).
The two that were there/are here? are only 2 out of 6/8? in captivity. These guys are both male, as the females were released a ways back. One of them is named Pepe and the other I can’t remember. There was a breeding program to bring them back from the brink so to speak which worked pretty well. The ‘almost extinct’ issue was surprisingly not because of humans, but that as the trainer said, “…for Dolphins, these guys are on the lower end of the brainpower side, and therefore pretty low on the food chain.”
So I didn’t say it, but I figure they must be the Somalians of the Dolphin Race so to speak, whereas Bottlenose is your average Whytte Guy? I mean a pretty good metaphor I think.
So for whatever reason, as I said Gretchen and Red were the only ones on this little meet and greet, so they got a LOT of up close and in person ‘stuff’. Gretchen found out she couldn’t take pictures during it, as they had their insanely overpriced photographer taking pictures. I mean $250 starting for the pix package???
REALLY!?! After ALREADY dropping a Cee Note and porking my wallet into stupidsville?
Why not just club me over the head like a baby seal and outright rob my ass amiright? I’m NOT going to go into a rant on how these parks are assholes for essentially pricing out ‘average folks’… I will mention that when I put the tickets in the basket online, and went to check out that the price for 3 tickets was over $500 with tax for one day. Add on parking ($40), food ($70 for the passes… which was a good thing as a shitty cheeseburger was no shit $17.99 EACH!!!!) and then the extra $100 plus tax for the Dolphin Experience? Add on the gas back and forth?
We’re talking a FUCKING GRAND almost for ONE DAY!

It went well.
We started by getting the photo op with Pepe and his bro:

Initially Red was afraid to touch the dolphin, but after a bit of coaxing, she ended up giving belly rubs and becoming besties with Pepe.
Afterwards, we scuttled back to the car for EXFIL.
Too much sun and too many ferals.
The place at that point was utterly infested.
Better safe than sorry.
So we bailed. What I did notice was that when we got there at 0900, there was ONE Sherriff’s Deputy Vehicle ‘on duty’ when we got there.

I’m not good at maffs, but a five-fold increase from 0900 to 14:00 in Cop Presence? In five hours, it’s a one-Cop-an-Hour addition which begs the question as to what the demographic increase in niggers to cop ratio is… Either way we got the fuck out of Dodge before there could be ANY potential real unpleasantness to be had.
So I do thank everyone who’s bought the MREs as of late… you should actually thank yourselves. As one commenter put it, a $3 +/- MRE right now is cheaper than even regular food at this point. I checked my stats with the Zon for the Financial Quarter (April to Now) and it seems I’ve sold $54k worth of MREs with my cut being about $700 and change. So that’s the numbers for those of you who were asking.

I hate to say it, but Iran has been at war with us since 1979. How many troops in Iraq died because of Iranian munitions? If Iran got a nuke tomorrow, it would be smuggled into NYC the next day.
