I’ve been around this here bleg-o-sphere for quite a spell, and had a LOT of good times and bad with y’all watching me go at it.
I started my blogging back in September of 2008, September 11th of all dates… the site there is https://bigcountryexpat.blogspot.com/
…and has some of my oldest and best writing IMO (mostly due to it being me, pre-TBIs and subsequent drain bamage. A noticeable decline over 18 years… sad but true…
However all of the issues I had to go through, this place was my sounding board and “sanity roll” so to speak… I could always count on y’all to comment and or lift my spirits.
We’ve gone through a LOT
But this time?
It’s the worry about the Dooney and the nasty shit that seems to be metastasizing out there… just like Cancer, the evil is propagating, and well… new job/new baby/new outlook, I think I’m going to shutter this place for a spell.
I still have my long-neglected substack, in which I think I’ll keep doing, but ONLY focusing on military hardware, prepping and gunsmithing, and dumping the poly-ticks completely.
It really sucks
I’ve spent the better part of almost 20 years beating keyboards to death, howling at the moon and the darkness… and this time?
I’m not going to endanger The Dooney in any way, shape or form. I mean I have NO IDEA who did this, however, the complete eradication of my Google Ads and Ad $$$, and a few other issues I haven’t spoken of, and I’d say it’s time to hang up this current iteration of Ye Olde Blegg, and see what the future holds…
So from the bottom of my heart, I thank you for the years of support, both spiritually and financially when we needed it, and keeping me relatively sane in a World Gone Mad. It’s been wild.

Going to miss your posts, stories, etc. Whoever pulled this shit, I hope you sic the law on them for false reporting and sue them to boot. I’ll drop an occasional message on protonmail or by snail mail. Wouldn’t be surprised if it was your neighborhood spies across the street. Let us know the story when it all clears up.
Today just sucks, but it’s going to get better. Love you and not just for saving the littles.

Well shit. Ya know, I was starting to think maybe you were about to hit a patch of comparatively smooth sailing, after an hyper extended deployment on rough seas (my ability to be an asshole is exceeded only by my capacity for understatement, heh), so I guess I called that one wrong.
Hope you can call off the dogs, and get yourself in the clear without too much effort and expense. Busy bodies really piss me off, and regrettably, this nation has turned into a cesspool of purse lipped schoolmarm Karen’s who are always up in everybody’s shit, so stuff like this happens. Nearly the whole damn country has turned into an HOA.
The fact that these chickenshits (who would never risk a face to face accusation) can do this stuff anonymously, and have it carry actual weight, is truly intolerable. Maybe drop a periodic blurb over at Art Sido’s place, since there seems to be pretty decent overlap with the core readership here.
