Tell you what, overexhaustion, and working out next to sumdood who what hacking up a storm should have been my clue. Last weekend I started feeling a wee bit down and out. Not this past one, but the one before.
That Thursday, I think it was the 12th I hit the gym at lunch for a quick shoulder workout. The guy on the machine next to me sounded like he had a two-pack a day habit, and I just sort of filtered it out as ‘noise’.
By Sunday the 15th, the voice started to go. No sore throat or anything… just …..raspy. It kept getting worse and worse until that Wednesday I called it a day and hit the Med-Shed. I was like completely wiped out mind you… I did the 3 days at People’s Glorious Tractor Factory (suffering as I did NOT want to burn my precious vay-kay), and the docs were quick to diagnose me with Pneumonia.
Which unfortunately missing that 1/2 an airbag from the cancer leaves me HIGHLY SUSCEPTIBLE to lung issues. I generally am good, as I can tell normally when I’m getting the wet heaving coughing fits, as I start coughing up the green nasty. In this case it was dry-dry. Which was different. The docs set me up with the nebulizer (again) the puffer (again) and loaded me with the meds that I need to kick this…

The voice is still raspy AF, and I’m still feeling like someone ran me over with a truck… that tired/no energy sort of feeling. And then my sleep cycles have been all fucked up too, so I’m trying to recharge, reset, and get back to normal.
Otherwise, everything is still fake and ghey AF.

Seems his son disappeared for 7 days right after the airstrike that left ole Bibi at room temperature, aka a ‘Good Izzy’. The 7 days being the mandatory 7 days of mourning in Ye Olde Synagogue O’Satan’s “church”…
He also missed out of a BIG High Hebrew meetup in Hungary either yesterday or today, and has not been seen IRL outside of some MAD sketchy AI Vidyas. Got me a hunch things are going to go extremely pear shaped in the VERY near future.
So… I did something a LOT of y’all will disagree with, but I liquidated a BUNCH of my hard silver coinage whilst it was still over $80. My own analysis pointed to them pushing a harder crash on it, to the point it’s now hovering at $70 or below.
Which means I’ll be able to restock on it in a few months after paying off a few sezzle purchases. I did some maffs. Silver one oz coins are great, and a good hedge and ‘real money’… however, it’s got to be tendered or tradable and also, you need to be able to defend it or at least keep what you have right? If the shit hits the fan? What comes after? I mean silver DOES keep its value but when does it become useful?

Glad you made it back alive. I had the pneumonia during Covid. 3 weeks of hell, couldn’t make it 15′ from the bed to the shitter without help. Took 3 rounds of increasingly powerful meds to kick it. At the quack shack, almost opted for the wheelchair just to make it to the desk, but thought at 32 I’d rather be dead than wheeled up.

100 years ago it was one of the top killers of people. I too can easily catch pneumonia and I’ve had it tons of times. Therefore I am a little weird that if someone starts coughing, I get the Hell away from them and wash my face, arms and hands with antibacterial soap.
Also I know how many people here are about vaccines but if I were you I’d think about getting the pneumonia shot. I did and I’m glad I did especially knowing I get very sick with pneumonia (like half the time have to do a hospital stint) and every time I might meet the Grim Reaper.
With only 1 lung and that one has scar tissue, talk to your doctor about it.

I had pulled 9 of my (5% or less wear) Morgan silver dollars from my stash and stacked them on my desk for liquidation last month. My silver is pretty much for the other side of SHTF, after the lead assets have stopped flying.
Been eyeballing those belt-fed uppers, but got the M16A1 clone, instead. Kind of sort of thinking about a super safety for it, though. Still have to get it out and zero it, then qualify on the Army M16A1 25m target. I know myself, I’m going to be qualifying with all my rifles on one of those targets, just for kicks. Even downloaded and printed out the scorecards that go with it.

Glad to hear you’re on the mend, the nebulizer can let you use some cool stuff for the airbags, things like DMSO, thyme oil, busoniside(sp), food grade hydrogen peroxide, etc. check with your doc pal for more info. My old man had some lobes zipped after the ol LC as well, take extra care as you get older, when he hit his 60s he would get a bad cold/flu etc and have to go to the ER each winter. As for the coins, I think you did the right thing, between the dumps of PM for mkt liquidity and covering oil jumps have made it hard to hang on to them. Better to do as you did and put it into tangible items as while yes, you can barter with them, better to get what you think you’ll need now as the cost per unit of items when its time to trade silver coins for em is gonna be nuts. If you have any left over, check out either commodities that are beat down or ones on the uptick. eg Uranium, loads of ETF’s etc. Cheers.

Welp, I’m way up in TN, but we don’t have range occifer’s in this part of the country. You can do your will out in the woods, I’ve got some steel hung in the tree’s to play windchimes on.
I had thought FRT triggers were a no go in Florida? Buncha my buddies there refused an offer of goodies I’m a dealer with. Warhammer is native to your state and pretty solid but the ARC from Active Safety is the best I’ve ever found in terms of feel.
The Lima 6 is dope but give Red Right Hand a hard look see. They take the Lima and tune, improve, and just as importantly make it look cool. Turn a kind of sideways step into a dedicated automatic rifle upper, like the BAR, or improve the already suitable Lima belt fed system into a legit platform.
Cloak is making the best belt fed AR upper since they have a dedicated system with quick change barrels but it comes with a price tag. That may come down some as they move all their production state side. We’re expecting in a year or less the FRT, as an aside we need a better name they neglected to run it by a panel of 6 year olds and if they laugh at it….change your name Fart trigger, for the FN and Ohio Ordnance Works 240 and 249. I’ve gotten to play with them some and what I’m allowed to say is wheeeew buddy if you have time in service with either platform you’re gonna love it.
Honerable mentions are triggers for the Thompson, Origin 12 shottygun, and MARs is making the best ones for the 10/22 and AK. Their trigger in a 10/22 that Ruger makes that looks like an M1 carbine made everyone at the range bust out in a big ol grin.

That thing looks like pure giggles. A full-semi-automatic 12ga is probably 2nd to a belt fed for close range crowns control

Sorry for the late reply. Absent a team to work with and help hump ammo the average person isn’t likely to burn through enough ammo quickly enough to make a replacement barrel necessary. HOWEVER! There’s a reason we carry spare tires and have fire extinguishers because the optimal outcome isn’t always what happens.
The Cloak spare barrel runs about 550-700 dollars depending on sale and I’m expecting the price to potentially drop a little once they move the production state side.
The barrels are 3 and a halfish pounds.
That isn’t cheap but it is a lot less expensive than having to carry a spare Lima upper in your pack if the gas tube bursts. If the Lima goes down its a home base rebuild the weapon is out of the fight till then.
Without a significant and well prepared supply chain I’d point people towards the FRT optimized auto rifle (think the BAR) uppers from Red Right Hand with things like cooling sleeves and vents or their optimized Lima upper. The fact the offer it with a bayonet lug so you can lay down hate and THEN poke someone with a nicely toasted bayonet just makes me giggle.
Added timbits: While almost any AR-15 lower will work with the Lima system people have been seeing the best results with the Hydra weapons lowers because it provides a higher and better feed angle from the ammo pouch to the feed tray.
So in your opinion would it be better to wait for the FRT for the 240 and 249 than buying a belt fed upper now?
Tough call. You can have two of either the Lima or Cloak belt fed uppers, and probably a complete rifle with spare parts and ammo, for the cost of one of either the 249 or 240.
Spare parts for the 249 and 240 are also pretty costly and hard to find compared to

One of the side effects of cancer therapy is the beating it gives to your white blood cells. Of the five types, I’m low on one of them. My oncologist said “Well, it means you’ll get sick easier, but you’ll get over it”. Nice.
So I’m the same way. Some fool hacking a lung up near me, and I’ll get it. Hell, someone with a bad cold or coughs near me and I’ll have something within a day. Sucks. Worse if you are missing a lung. Less room for error, for sure.

I would have agreed more if you would have sold it on its way up than on its way down 😉 but as long as you spent the money on better things its all good..Now if you would of spent it on a piece of property in the country with water, good soil, great fields of fire, etc etc that would have been best…
