Surprisingly, it was my upper shoulders and neck that got tweaked, which I’m guessing is from having to lean over the frame to get to the handlebars. I woke up positively crippled, for which Gretchen went into her ‘bag o’meds’ and gave me -something- that zonked me out alllll day and a goodly portion of the night as well.
Either way, a wee bit of extreme rest was obviously called for.

And because of that, I’m behind on the rant-o-thon that I’ve oh so been neglecting. Now… to start with… let’s kick it over to Germany. We’ll start there as one story (out of the plethora out there) caught my eye, and is ripe for a breakdown IMO.

Now, granted this’s the Russian Times. That being said, like most Eurotrash News, as well as our own fucked up Ministries of Lies and Propaganda, it’s propaganda. However, with that understanding, there’s always a kernal of truth to be found, IF one digs deep enough. A smol breakdown is needed, so…. Ever since the end of World War 2, especially in the Western Part of the Country, (meaning the US/French/British ‘occupied zones’) the very watchword of the day was “Alles ist in Ordnung” meaning “All is in Order”.
This was very important after the chaos that Herr MoustacheManBad unleashed on the entirety of the European Continent, if not the world overall. The Germans post-war 2 needed stability above all.
So, the very concept of “Ordnung” (order, discipline, rule, arrangement) and phrases like “alles ist in Ordnung” (everything is in order) have and had seriously deep roots and an impact on past as well as current German culture. The idea of “order” if you will, was/is to this day, a Kraut attitude that has it’s roots back centuries gone by.
Now?
In modern times the phrase itself took on stronger and more a profound meaning culturally in post-War Germany. Given that after everything that happened in Weimar, and the MoustacheManBad era? The Germans were positively dying for some sense of “Teutonic Normalcy”
If anything, “Alles ist in Ordnung” is a good descriptive of the naturally seemingly anal-retentive nature of the Germans as a whole. To paraphrase (and IMO it’s applicable) is from the movie “Red October” when Admiral Painter said “Russians don’t take a dump without a plan” with the change being “Russians Germans don’t take a dump without a plan” carries the same culturally adaptive conceptual weight.
In fact take that, and DOUBLE the need for a ‘plan’ when it comes to the Germans. My own experiences in Germany, while fighting against ‘Herman The German’ showed a distinct lack for independent thinking due to the inherent rigidity of their thought process. They’re absolutely hardcore ‘followers’ as opposed to natural leaders.
I mean look at the entire attitude.
Cars, Highway (the Autobahn) everything!
Naturally, this means a great deal of Precision and Coordination across a vast set of skills, motivations as well as overall production. Hell, part of the ‘theoretical success’ of the supposed “Final Solution (which was neither final, nor a solution) was due to the Strict German Adherence to the Rules and Regulations set by “those in Charge”.
Now granted, there’s a certain amount of flexibility ‘baked in the cake’ but for the most part, the Germans are quite content to allow things to ‘hustle and bustle’ along on the day-to-day, provided it’s someone else’s Bratwurst that’s getting shat on.
And since the arrival of the Afghans and their non-conformist attitudes and primitive asocial tendencies that come with being bipedal quasi-religious fanatics who utterly reject the need to homogenize themselves into Greater German Society?

However, IF this plan that the Germans concocted is true, and they ARE actually going to try (and mind you I emphasize try in this instance) to forcibly conscript the Affy-Haj into fighting for the Krain? I was predicting this 10 – 2 years ago and getting banned off the old chat boards and forums for saying it. Our women are out of control. Historically they were treated like children because they think with their emotions, and those emotions vary with the cycles of the moon and tides through menstruation and menopause. Having spent a LOT of time working with the Krauts over the past 45 years, my expectations for the current generation is not quite so soft and squishy. As noted, the reverence for ORDERLY society is very, very deep. All school children are regimented and trained to respect authority from age 4 and up. I know this well as I went to a German school age 4 to 5, do not doubt me.
So, while all those that remain remembering the end fallout of WWII and their children are absolutely against ever reviving the “mustache man era”, right under the surface is that desire for STABILITY. And this is what they are fast losing with the import of modern young muzzies. Now one has to recall that parts of Germany are heavily settled by Turks that were brought in way back in the ’60’s to work at the Mercedes Benz and VW factories when Germany was desperate for laborers (seems they lost a few during the war or something). These Turks while nominally Muslim, were and are not of the wild eyed hajii stripe and prefer to enjoy a standard of living not available “back home” nor raise hell for no reason. Their children and grands now, this is another issue. They are easily influenced seeing as Germany does NOT recognize you as a natural citizen if your parents and grandparents are not “native”. So they go off the reservation so to speak.
Now we get to the waves (probably over 1 million by now) of fresh younger imports from Affy, Syria, Iraq and other N. African areas formerly controlled by Germany. I worked with one such from Affy who became a serious businessman and quite good at it, he explained the difference between his background (Kabul business family) and the tribal imports from all over the country (mostly illiterate and impulsive by nature).
So, here is Germany 2025 with a huge pool of feral Muslim young men on the streets, on the dole and not wanting to assimilate in the least. Bored and looking for easy pussy, after all in their eyes, all females not muzzy are sluts for the taking. No, I am not kidding. One of the MOST important things to consider when prepping is your health, physical ability and what you HONESTLY can and can’t do. Bullshitting yourself leads to a disaster.
I have met a bunch of guys who in their 20s in the service could go on a 50 mile hike with a full ruck and barely break a sweat. 30 – 40 years later — not so much. The problem is mentally some of these guys think and plan like they were that same 20 something guy in perfect shape.
This would lead to a disaster in a real emergency ! Be honest with yourself and then base your plans on what’s realistic for you to do.

I expect to have a hellish 90 days or so of rehab, followed by a program of strength and flexibility training.
That should both drop a fair share of the blubber I’ve been carrying around since walking became so difficult, and build muscle. My ‘fun’ exercises will be swimming (which I have long missed, due to not being able to handle the pain of kicking in the water), and gardening (and for that I’ve been working on modified squats, and various flexibility exercises to facilitate bending over, getting up from the ground, and such).

The women have gone crazy. I think it’s a combination of things. They are emotional beings so by nature they put logic on the back burner and run everything by feelings.

I’m seeing parallels between today’s Germany and the imported sand chiggers, and ancient Romans and the barbarian Gauls.

As a female first responder, re the subject of whammen being emotional.
I don’t make any major life decisions until I have slept on them. But once I have made a decision, I carry out what I have decided with cold planning, and the execution of it may take months or years but I don’t waver. Maybe that’s the German in me. So I think I can vote with some forethought too.
An aside: I see a lot of judging in these circles against childless divorced post menopausal women with cats. I want to take a little bit of time to address this.
As we get older things happen. Sometimes being alone is better than being in a bad romance. I had one cat for 15 years – longer than any relationship with a man – but she died recently. I am sad. Does that make me a “cat lady”? Sometimes I regret not having had kids, but the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. I get my caregiving Yaya’s by being in EMS. I love the old folks. But as I get older the old folks are more my age. Then I feel lucky that I’m healthy.
I expect, being single and in healthcare, that I will probably be the one to take care of some of my elderly friends and relatives. I also think where I am will be relatively safer than many other places should things go spicy. I am therefore in the process of acquiring more space for guests. If that never happens, the space can be used for other purposes. Who knows, maybe I will find a suitable man after all these years, and remarry. But I’m not counting on it.
OK enough about my life.
Calm on scene: not really, you actually just get good at ignoring fear, which still causes physical symptoms. I am getting better at staying “calm” the longer I do this. But I have to watch out for emotional families on scene. There are also times when you have to hold your tongue when your patient (or your partner) is being ridiculous.
But when not on scene, the usual MO kicks in. In general, other women at work can annoy me because they are petty for no reason, or I should say it is usually that somebody hurt their pride. We have one at work who takes offense at almost everything. To hear her talk to her husband, you would think she hates him. She also cries at the drop of a hat.
Some of them have confused liberty with being libertine. I have another coworker who swears like a sailor and brags about sleeping around. She also has anger issues. The rough and ready exterior is maybe a mask for insecurity?
Not every woman is like these two stereotypical examples, I just think that they are more noticeable and attract more attention than a quiet person.
On the other hand, men while having a reputation for not being too emotional, actually are. I have learned to look a little bit harder because sometimes y’all are not OK when you act like you are. Just an observation.
Men are goofy in different ways. We have a class clown in our station who also doesn’t clean up after himself, and we have one who starts drama with rumors. I’m pretty sure that both of them drink too much when off duty. As do a few of the women. It’s sad really. The way people cope and shorten or otherwise wreck their own lives.
