Greetings and Salutations!
OK First off: A short blegg tonight. My toofuses HURT to the point of distraction. Being out of my oxy and not being able to get quality dental care due to the substandard “Dental Insurance” that the People’s Glorious Tractor Factory provides is a capper.
To the point I might just go down to Mexico.
Seems there’s some dental clinics that don’t try to analy rape you in getting your grill adjusted. Specifically American Biodental in of all places, Tijuana. The reports online say it’s legit upfront and cost effective. This is not a backing nor promotion. Just a place I found during my research on cost-effective fang-treatment, as MINE are seriously fucked up.
To the point of not being able to enjoy my chow man…
And y’all know what a chow-daddy I am.
This’s worse than a pussy-drought.
Lackonookie I can deal with
Not eating great or even good food?
Oh fuck that sideways!!!
I’ve got two shattered and broken toofuses, and one that I think has an old filling that’s worked loose. I’ve got a LOT of dental pain… shit that cannot be let go. Maaaaaaan I took such good care of my grill, only for things to be derailed by a corrupt Dentist who fucked me over faaaaar before I could know what this fucker had done.
I wish I knew where he was buried
I’d drop a HUGE LOAF on his grave.
Well deserved… the fucker…
For those of you new here, my ‘pediatric dentist’ shortly AFTER All my ‘adult toofuses’ grew in told MomUnit and DeadDad that I had a total of 12 cavities. Three on each side, uniform. Left and right upper, three each.
Far be it from MomUnit and DeadDad to question the dentist… I took a LOT of shit about NOT brushing and how each filling was $50 each (around 1978 $$$) which meant real money.
So I went thru the torture…
Seems it came out after his arrest that he wasn’t even using novocaine… just distilled water… this guy was Mengele Junior apparently….that ALL of us were being essentially tortured via toofus shit during allllllll them fucking 12 fillings.
ALL the fillings were mercury amalgam (which would account for me being certifiably insane) and it turns out I didn’t have cavities… this fucker got caught, got indicted, and suicided while out on bail
Yes
Yes I DO need to desecrate his grave in the future
As my current mouth issues are ALL due to his bullshit.
I’d even dig him up IF I thought I could to burn his corpse
AND Piss on the bones.
FUCK THAT GUY FOREVER
So that’s my mindset tonight.
Lots of personal pain.
Dealing with it, and rolling
So More Later
Big Country

Mine was us dentist. Spent big buck to save tooth ,avoid root canal. Saw what was heat barrier under filling and drilled it all out. I did not question /realize what he was doing…. Actually as boot I did not get asked. Tooth eventually died, broke ,crowned broke again etc….
Damn, bro. Feel for ya
Got a link for ToofDoc Bandit?
The few real teeth I kept are in the process of administering infection and pain. I expect 50% chances of “No More ‘Murican Medicine – See Ya After The War!” and have as my end state for ’26 as few pus-caverns and other self-inflicted dumbth as I can get done.
funny you mention toofus’s
my #11 was worked on last feb by my new dentist, former 11b- 82nd and 173rd alumn.
well, it’s a bit rough and i see the problem… gonna make a call tomorrow and get it right.
did you see silver? i’m up $10k tonight already…
add $10,0000 more hymee bux for monday and it’s only noonish!
*SILVER

Yep, it’s wonderful. Grabbed some small silver miners stock too. For when the push to relieve the shortage comes.
What I’ve seen work well:
Blow all the shit out with a “water pic”. (just swallow the pain, it’s only a few seconds)
Massage gums. If abcessed, press *hard* on the side of the root until something erupts, then repeat the pic.
Take a mouthful of pure Vodka.
Swish it around, and hold it on your teeth for as long as you can.
Repeat immediately after eating.
Maintain this protocol indefinitely.
This works. Will completely “heal” abcesses. (stop swelling and other signs of infection) Infection will eventually recur if the protocol is not maintained.
All that worked well for me, bit only after I took to the toofus with a fairbairn sykes and linesman’s pliers. Being in the middle of nowhere can limit choices. Remember, life is pain, we can choose whether that includes suffering. Ergo, pain don’t hurt, bones heal, chics dig scars.
Not all bones heal, especially if they are dead.
My hip has been arguing with my insurance for three years, and finally won.
Can’t walk, but they are going to cut out they hurty parts and replace with titanium/ceramic…..
Tuesday morning fun.
I use Listerene with a little colloidal silver solution. Works quite well.
Damn bro. That asshole needs to be resurrected so you can kill him again. Slowly. By pulling his teeth out one by one. And making him eat them all at once.
In better news, silver went over 109 joobux at about 8:25 pm Sunday, 01-25-2026. Gold was a bit over 5100.
I’m only up about 1000 but that’s good money for surfing the web while everything is frozen outside. Silver briefly went over 110 on APMEX.

XYLITOL and Teeth:
.
According to research, XYLITOL is an anti-bacterial, targeting the specific strain of Streptococcus responsible for dental caries.
Apparently, swishing XYLITOL vigorously at least three times daily eliminates Strep, and hence, reduces dental decay.
.
Other research suggests XYLITOL re-mineralizes worn areas of teeth, significantly extending their usable life.
.
!!! Cautions !!!
* Consuming XYLITOL can alter blood sugar levels enough to mimic Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD).
* Some heart disease issues can be exasperated by consuming XYLITOL.
.
Based on these warnings, I swish XYLITOL several times daily, then expectorate and rinse.
.
Organic forms of XYLITOL are readily available, so we use that instead of risking something bio-engineered and contaminated with petroleum-based fertilizer and pesticide.
I pay about us$10 for a couple pound package of powder, enough for the three of us for probably the next decade.
I heard good things about Xylitol gum being good for mouth/teeth hygiene, so gave it a try. Then my blood pressure went up. Which, once I checked, was one of the side effects of Xylitol. So I quit it and my BP went back to normal.
Abscessed tooth is the worst. Got all the fillings replaced for a good price at the people’s dental.
The big name place wanted $3000 got it done for $700.
I can really feel for you. Went through the abscess route as a teen. Until on a holiday weekend. Until the trip to Dr. Pain, treated by mom unit reluctantly with soaked cotton with Southern Comfort against the gums. Got drain installed and later the first of many root canals. Personally 6 broken stubs left to yank before fake ones. Did you try looking for a local Med school that has a dental school attached, usually cheaper. Know there is one in Gainesville. Maybe cheaper and faster than round trip to Mexico.
Look into Oil pulling, it seems strange yet it seems to work for oral health.
BCE, I can feel your pain brother. The last 5 years, I’ve ended up having most of my back molars pulled.
Why ? Same reason as you, 1 crooked dentist filled them all when I was a teenager and filling weakens the tooth and eventually they cracked down to the root in my 50s and had to be yanked.
Ask your dentist how much to just pull them if you pay cash ?
It usually is waay less than their advertised price, my dentist charged me 400/tooth to yank them.
We talked about implants and I laughed, they wanted $7000/tooth. FYI there are great dental clinics in Mexico that will do it for 25% of that if you ever want implants. Since I don’t want to look like a jack o lantern, I’ll pay for implants if any of my front teeth go. 🙂
I will give you this advice, when one of those teeth go and the root is exposed you will know pain like you have NEVER felt before. in addition, they can get an infection and dental infections can get into the heart and kill your ass.
Dude, get those suckers taken care of and yanked if you’re broke. Some dentists will be kind and let you make payments if you pay cash.
I’m in the profession, specifically restorative (3 year residency after dental school). Be careful of treatment done in 3rd world countries. I’ve had a chance to fix some interesting things…
One main problem is that a lot of your teeth came in when you were 6 and the rest by 11 at the latest. Think of all the hard things you hit over the last 40+ years microfractures and slow crack progression happens. Silver amalgam is a decent material but it only fills the hole. Back then , the alternatives were
Gold, either direct or cast – expensive because of the time and skill required and the material itself
Or
1st generation composites, which shrank in the preparation and leaked like crazy and tended to fracture
We really need a 3rd set that comes in when we’re in our middle 50s.
Really sorry to hear this. If you were closer I could help.
Very sorry to hear about your pain. If you can take Tylenol and ibuprofen, both at the same time has been shown to be very effective in dental pain management. Research done at University of Pennsylvania dental school. Even for very tough people, who can shrug off pain, dental pain is reliably bad, and this has worked for most of my patients. Use a reasonable dose – 650 mg of the Tylenol and 400-600 of the ibuprofen, since you’re a big guy.
Tried to post some of this last night and my finger-fu was probably bad at 1:30.
Be very careful of 3rd world dentistry. I’m in the profession as a restorative specialist, I’m the guy who gets the stuff nobody else wants to touch, and I’ve had to fix some interesting things that have come in from elsewhere. Part of the challenge is that in many cases you’re getting the treatment rendered relatively quickly and there may not be the time to assess whether or not the treatment is suitable or correct. Just my opinion though.
DM me if you want to, and we can talk.
Humph. Tried to post a couple more things from both last night and this morning and they’ve disappeared.
I’m in the profession as a restorative specialist. Talking is faster than typing.
DM me regarding
I’m sorry you’re having such trouble.
Veteran of the University of Maryland dental school for over a year – it was all I could afford. The supervisors were good. The students were, uhm, students. Use your imagination.
Left me with some lingering issues. In combination with that place and previous encounters, I have a dread of dentists. That scene with Dustin Hoffman in The Marathon Man still makes me shudder.
I also became friends later with a nurse who knew her chops – Dean of nursing at an urban hospital and had been a field nurse in Vietnam. Clued me in to a home treatment for the infections I was regularly suffering.
When a serviceman had issues and they couldn’t get them to normal treatment quickly, the following staved off the worst:
Hie thee to a local drug store or farm supply for a Monoject Curved 412 Tip Syringe. Make a solution of ten parts warm-ish water to one part basic and standard clorox (retail has messed with different additives – go for the el cheap stuff). Fill syringe. As much as you can stand, blast the gum & pockets around the offending tooth at a pressure as much as tolerated. Rinse, repeat as needed.
Antbiotics help, but disinfecting the area directly can save your ass, and is extremely effective, before the thing goes systemic.
For the pain? You know the drill. I hope you have a stash.
I hate dental pain pretty much more than any other.
P.S. Mexico is an excellent resource for affordable treatment. Best of luck to you.
Yes, but is it safe?
Check the referrals on the thread. Be smart and check up to date on the local news. There are known bad states and further down the chain, municipalities.
Lots of people went over the border for care when I lived in Texas, and returned just fine.
P.P.S. (Sorry – I wish there were an edit button).
Also, you can get dental wax at any drug store. Grab a bit, shape it, and stick it to an offending area to keep cold air and water from sending you into orbit. If it works for you, get used to doing it, as it will work loose.
I second the xylitol as a prophylactic. Using Anbesol might take you from an 11 to a nine on the scale, as long as you’re not allergic to any of the ‘caines.
Bad teeth suck. I went down to Cancun to have some work done at this place:
https://www.cancundentalspecialists.com/best-dentist-in-mexico/irma-gavaldon/
Highly recommend them. They will pick you up at the airport and transport you to and from your hotel. Get a very thorough exam and do excellent work. May not be the cheapest but can’t recommend them highly enough. Very well thought of by the locals too.
I use the Washington Dental Clinic in Juarez, Mexico. They pick you up at a hotel in downtown El Paso, drive you to their clinic and bring you back, and most work is done in one day. I can replace my dentures same day, where a clinic in the US of A takes two weeks and cost three or four time more. I learned that the clinics this side of the border send your castings to the same place to get them made. Dental tourism is a real thing here. I’ve met folks from Montana and Kentucky that came here to get work done.
My neighbor used to go down there for dental work probably met him…His Initials were JP…
Big: one word – Los Algodones, Mexico
About 8 miles from Yuma, AZ, just across the border, this town is Dental Central. More than 700 dentists. And because dental services to Americans and Canadians (yes, Snow Mexicans fly in for tooth work) bring in such revenue, the place is peaceful and safe. Not like that shit-hole TJ.
A personal recommendation: Yasman Carvajal at DentalBetel.com
If yer thinking about Mexico dental care (less than half of the costs in US) there is no need to look further.
Dude, try some DMSO, the shit is like ivermectin as it is good for all kinds of shit including toofus pain. Big pharma cannot patent it so you know how that goes….IT,S VOODOO! they all scream. Shit is fucking amazing…. see a midwestern doctor on the substack….l shit you not my friend……
We’ve got some good reads to go through from BC’s recent data dump but here is some more good stuff I stumbled across on WRSA. https://mises.org/library
I also am running into the password thingy on the smoke articles. But deal with the toofers 1st bro, dental pain is the worst I’ve ever experienced. Best of luck.

My Wife has Bad Teeth and Because we winter in Phx we go to Los Algadonas , The Dentist we last used was a Grad of Santa Barbara so He was Good
I used to travel to Yuma, for work, and talking to the cabby, he asked if I was military or heading for dental work… I was like what? Apparently large collection of American trained dentists setup practices right across the border in Mexico…. So I’d go there…
I had a fuckin dentist do the same with me, said I had 7 cavities, 5 yrs later GOOD dentist told me i have only 2. Anyway, if you want to get rid of the pain the best thing i found is to oil pull with coconut oil. If you swish coconut oil in your mouth for bout 20 minutes it kills all the bacteria and give u fresh breath. Also, clove oil does wonders for a toothache. Bacteriua in the mouth from cavities also cause kidney damage and heart damage and heart attacks believe it or not!!
You got a dental school near you ? Students, under the direct supervision of a board certified dentist, may be able to do the work you required. Here in the Detroit area we have a couple of highly regarded schools that offer the services you seem to need
Macomb Co native here. ever been to metro beach? my old neighborhood..
How about the VA for dental……????
or GEHA dental insurance…..????
Tooth issues are the worst. Whatever route you choose get it done as soon as practical. Just dealing with the infection and using temporary filling material will go a long way to making life tolerable. By me it’s NOVA Southeastern that has cheap dental service by students. A lot of people here recommend it.
Teeth and toes nothing but pain and trouble. Retired then learned my 15 year family dentist was incompetent. $30,000 and counting still ill with infections. All this has damaged my health and lifestyle. I appreciate the helpful comments and will give some a shot. Thanks all
Another option for much cheaper than US high quality dental work.
Ireland.
Its a hell of a lot cheaper than the US and most of the good dentists are either US trained or follow US practices. None of that shit British Dentistry crap. And unlike the US none of the constant upselling shit either.
Close to Dublin Airport is a really good dental practice that has quite a few regular US customers. Malahide Dental Clinic. Very professional. Good quality work. And zero bullshit. A real joy after dealing with US dentists.
There are whole bunch of other good dentists in the Dublin area that specialize in US dentistry and US patients. An online search should find them.
Its pretty much the same story with optometrists (opticians) in Ireland. Very good, no upsell bullshit, and a lot cheaper than the US. A lot cheaper.
But the medical doctors in Ireland are crap, the hospitals are often dangerous and the ER’s are a joke. So dont get sick while visiting.
So that might be an option for getting your teeth patched up. And you’d get to visit the oul sod too..
May have already been said, but I’m gonna drop my 2cents in anyways. As a denture wearer, GET YOUR TEETH FIXED. Don’t skimp, no shortcuts. Unless you are experiancing Deadly instances of infection, FIX THE TEETH YOU HAVE.
Dentures are what I am left with and I have taken years to accept them as “my teeth”, but I still hate ’em. They are prosthetics, NOT TEETH and I miss my real teeth every day. Do everything you can to save your real teeth first, EVERYTHING, even if it means you have to mortgage your home or something. REAL teeth are worth it.
