He&#8217;s not crawling yet, but can push and roll himself around.  The issue is, is that he&#8217;s quite a heavy lil sandbag&#8230; tips in NOW at 31 pounds&#8230;<br><br>She caught him but wrenched the ever loving hell out of herself in the process.  She went to Urgent Care, and the gave her a couple of shots, pain meds, lidocaine and a &#8220;bed rest for 3 days&#8221; profile which has meant that &#8220;Big Poppa Pump&#8221; aka the BCE has had the duty for the past few days.<br><br>It&#8217;s been fun TBH.<br><br>We watch a LOT of Looney Tunes, as well as, (of all things) Simon Whistler&#8217;s channel(s).  He&#8217;s a Brit-dude who has MULTIPLE historical channels, and I&#8217;m not sure if it&#8217;s his voice or what, but the Dooney <em>really<\/em> seems to pay attention when those vids are on&#8230;  which works for me, as I&#8217;m not sure how much is &#8216;getting through&#8217; but I&#8217;d rather some history and coolness go into that lil nugget as opposed to some of the shytte that IS out there for lil kids.<br><br>For the record, Simon HAS been here and DM&#8217;d me in the past&#8230; which is <em><strong>really cool <\/strong><\/em>IMO&#8230;<br><br>Anyways&#8230;<br>So other things&#8230;<br>I went to a range today&#8230;<br>Best described as a &#8220;Redneck Range&#8221;<br>Essentially an open-air garbage pit with stalls to shoot from (in good shape) but with almost ZERO shooting restrictions.  It was an <em>exceptionally<\/em> gray and shitty day here, but I needed to try out the SAW and finish the break-in.  For THIS mission I had swapped out the buffer and spring to the one I was SUPPOSED to use, and went from there&#8230;<br><br>Silly me&#8230;.. I <strong>did not<\/strong> bring the heavy spring\/buffer combo I swapped out&#8230;.  I left them at home dammit&#8230; and as you can see, because of it?  Well, it didn&#8217;t work as expected:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"1080\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 1920 \/ 1080;\" width=\"1920\" controls src=\"https:\/\/bigcountryexpat.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/test.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">So yeah, it &#8211;<em>seemed-<\/em> to fail to cycle&#8230;<br>Leastways on the range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Reviewing the vid?<br>It was actually my swapping out the buffer and spring.<br>It <strong>did<\/strong> throw out the empty casing, BUT it didn&#8217;t recock the hammer, as the trigger assembly has the Hoffman Trigger kicker in it&#8230; <br><br>The primers on the rounds that got chambered had &#8216;light strikes&#8217; on them, which from what I can tell, was caused by the BCG\/Bolt group moving <em>slower<\/em>, which meant the hammer was &#8216;riding&#8217; the BCG which resulted in light strikes&#8230;<br><br>We&#8217;ll see tomorrow.  I&#8217;m heading back there&#8230;<br><br>The &#8220;Redneck Range&#8221; and the guy running it didn&#8217;t charge me for my time there&#8230; he felt bad that my shit didn&#8217;t work, so COOL!  Saved me $15!  I -did- get to use my newly legal SBR&#8217;d VZ-61 Skorpion (I re-added the stock to it) and used my husher on it&#8230;  THAT I need to vid, as it was VERY QUIET and as usual, Fun AF to fire up&#8230;  LOVE me that lil mean bastard&#8230;<br><br>I also need to play\/range a few other rifles I have&#8230;<br>One is a &#8216;former pistol&#8217; which has a 10 1\/4 barrel, and brace, which I&#8217;ve swapped out a regular stock, and my plan is to add a XM-177 flash hider to&#8230; well&#8230;  MAKE a retro XM-177 for fun and games&#8230;<br><br>I mean why the Hell not!?!<br>So tomorrow, I&#8217;m going to go to the RR, and throw some MOAR 5.56mm without and issue this time (leastways from what I can figure) and I&#8217;ll record what I have.
