We did a ‘Resort Pass’ thing that Gretchen discovered a ways back. It’s a ‘day pass’ to go to some of the high-end resorts for short $$$ instead of spending mad cash to enjoy the place and amenities without having to like actually go and pay for the room and assorted fees…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s a pretty cool idea actually. Costs about $50 for the two of us (Doonie being under one gets him in free) to hit the pool and various neat stuff that’s offered.

Since I’m not swimming that much, and the resorts usually have a bar… welll….

With the exception of a few beers, I’ve been an exceptionally good boy. <\/strong>Those have been the ONLY beers I’ve had since May 1st. Having the Doonie around makes it too hard to get a buzz on, as when I’m out asleep, I’m out-out, and it’s not fair to dump ALL the midnight feedings on her…

Plus it’s healthier

So on to other news. Guess a couple of Repubnicunts died or died ‘in theory’. Bah. With the exception of the memes, nothings changed, nothing’s ever<\/strong> going to change, and I’m cool with that. They leave me alone, and allow me to do my own thing, and I’ll stay happy and on the porch, just chilling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I swear I keep getting interrupted.
This AM was a sonography and CAT scan of Ye Olde Liver.

Which is like my 10th or 12th one.

See, the issue is -somehow- there’s a Biopsy listed in my med record showing that I have serious<\/strong> cirrhosis. Which OK… IF legit, well, damn. There’s a small problem.

I haven’t had a liver biopsy<\/strong>

To the point that the VA keeps shuffling me around telling me that I did<\/strong> when I most certainly did not<\/strong>. Lung Biopsy? Hells yes. Been there. Done that. Have a slight scar to prove it.

There’s three choices of getting a liver biopsy:

“A liver biopsy is a minimally invasive procedure used to extract a small tissue sample from your liver to diagnose diseases, assess inflammation, or determine the stage of fibrosis. The procedure typically takes 15\u201330 minutes, followed by a 2\u20134 hour recovery period in the hospital.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Types of Liver Biopsies<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Laparoscopic Biopsy:<\/strong> Used when multiple samples from different areas of the liver are needed. It is performed under general anesthesia using a tiny lighted camera and surgical tools. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Percutaneous Biopsy:<\/strong> The most common method. The doctor uses an ultrasound to locate the liver, numbs the upper right abdomen with a local anesthetic, and inserts a thin needle through a small incision to take the sample. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Transjugular (Transvenous) Biopsy:<\/strong> Ideal if you have bleeding disorders or fluid in the abdomen (ascites). The doctor inserts a catheter into the jugular vein in your neck and threads it down to the liver using X-ray (fluoroscopy) guidance to retrieve the tissue.”

NONE OF WHICH EVER HAPPENED<\/strong>
The gaslighting has been unreal. They keep acting as if I’ve lost my marbles. To the point I had Gretchen go in and tell NewDoc that No, I have NOT had a biopsy of my liver.

GAH!

It’s soooooo fucking frustrating ‘cos I know<\/strong> that they done fucked up and put the wrong record in the wrong file. Which probably means there’s some poor bastard Joe out there who DOES<\/strong> have cirrhosis who didn’t<\/strong> get the note, and may have drank himself to death by now.

Add on that when they told me I have cirrhosis, I went “OK cool!” Got me a bunch of buddy letters and proof of my 3 times in ADAPTC<\/strong> (Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Treatment Counselling) or some such… it was like a group session like AA or some shit… call it early 90’s Rehab and man, that’d be enough to prove service connection to get me to the “Magic 100”

And yet, when I go for the 100, I get told “Nope, you don’t have cirrohsis”

Make up your fucking mind VA ok?

I sure As Fuck know I didn’t have a liver biopsy. I’d remember the big ole needle if Option Number Two (Percutaneous) was done, and the other two options? Well either Sapper or Gretchen would have had to been involved as I wouldn’t have been driving myself around after those two…

So yeah, a bit pissed off.
ESPECIALLY since when the “Fuck You Pay Me” time comes around, ALL OF A SUDDEN! I don’t<\/strong> have cirrhosis? I mean I guess I do<\/strong> when it comes time to cut me off my pain meds, make me stop drinking and remove ANY and ALL funsies in my life, but hey! Who’s counting!!!

Which in MY case, tonight is hot pastrami sammiches. Boar’s Head sent me a coupon so I figured it’s been a loooong minute since I’ve had pastrami. I’m seriously stoked for it… the last time I had it was when X#1 made them… it was on the menu on the reg as I recall, and I saw an ad for the ‘New Yorker’ sub from Firehouse Subs. Too expensive to order\/buy there, so I figured with the coupon, I could get a pound and a half which’ll be good for at least 4-5 sammiches.
Yum! Yum!

Otherwise, posting will continue to be a bit light until the Doonie is officially OURS as I don’t want to risk pissing in anyone’s Wheaties at this stage of the game. Figure another month or so, then off to the races…
